Describe your greatest ministry accomplishment during 2007 and why you consider it the greatest.
St. Luke’s and its parishioners committed to the One Campaign. In that effort we particularly have committed to making sure that people around the world can eat.
In the feeding effort and through our programs we have forged a bond with many of the sick and homeless in the District of Columbia.
We have broken language barriers with the Latino workers who come into the city to seek work. We have provided them with small work opportunities and encouraged them through faith to persevere.
Describe your greatest ministry challenge during 2007 and why it was a challenge.
Getting volunteers for the weekly and monthly projects so as to have enough support.
How are your activities/events funded? How were funds raised and spent, and were they adequate for your plans and needs?
Funds were allocated in the budget to fund many of the projects. Collections and donations by parishioners and others enhanced and supplemented needs for the program.
