Rev. Massenburg was ordained to the PRev. Massenburg and familyriesthood December, 2010.  He has served as Assistant Rector at St. Paul & The Redeemer Episcopal Church in Hyde Park, Chicago, Illinois since he was ordained to the diaconate.  He received a Masters in Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. Rev. Massenburg also, holds a Ph. D. in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he has worked as an Assistant Research Professor. He has a MBA in Business Management and Accounting, from Purdue University in Indiana.

One of his successful ministries was the creation of a documentary about his experience in weekly sessions in educating poor African American boys, kindergarten thru eighth grade.  The documentary was entitled, The Joshua Movement.  He brought in speakers from his fraternity brothers (Omega Psi Phi) with successful careers as Doctors, Police Officers, Clergy and Entrepreneurs. It reinforced for the young people that there are paths to success for everyone.

Rev. Massenburg and his wife Yvonne have two sons, Raymond and Malcolm.
